Design your own hat online

Design your own hat online, then actually make it

It all happens online in your browser, and it is free to start. Bring a logo, a sketch or an AI prompt, pick the cap style you have in mind, put your artwork on it and check the details. Then order one physical sample before you commit to a run: CBOs takes the same design all the way to production from 50 pieces.

No design software to buy, no tech pack to write. Start with 1 sample.

Not just a blank

More than a logo printed on a blank hat

Most online hat customizers place a logo on an existing blank. CBOs is built for clothing brands that want to create a real cap product: shape, materials, decoration, trims, packaging and production details, all reviewed before sampling.

Before you spend

See the cap before you pay for it

A flat picture only shows one angle. When you want to rotate the cap and check the crown, brim, panels and logo scale in detail, open the 3D hat designer — the same design continues from there into renders, sample and production.

No design software to learn

You do not need CAD skills or a tech pack. Pick a cap direction, drop your artwork on it and read the result like a photo.

Made for brand owners

Print-on-demand sites sell you one decorated blank. Here the design decisions stay attached to sample cost, MOQ, production notes, private label details and the launch renders, because the cap gets manufactured rather than printed.

Free online, web and iOS

Cap design is free online in any browser — nothing to install and no software to buy. The CBOs iOS app covers iPhone and iPad when you want it on the home screen.

How it works

How to design your own hat online, step by step

Six steps from an empty screen to caps in a box. The first five happen online and cost nothing. The sixth is the only one that needs a decision about money.

  1. Start from a logo, sketch or AI prompt

Open the Studio in your browser. Nothing to install, nothing to pay. Upload the logo you already have, drop in a photo of a sketch, or describe the graphic and let the AI draw a first version you can edit.

  2. Choose the cap style

Snapback, 5-panel, trucker, dad hat, fitted or rope cap. You are picking a construction, not a picture: panel count, crown height, brim shape and closure are the things the factory is briefed from.

  3. Add artwork and decoration

Drag the graphic onto the front, the side, the back or the brim and watch it bend with the panel. Switch cotton for suede, add or drop the mesh, and preview flat embroidery, 3D puff, woven patches, metal pins or rhinestones.

  4. Check the design before you spend money

Rotate the cap and read it from every angle, then render it: an HD photo pack of eight product views and a vertical 360 video, made from your own 3D model. These are photoreal renders, not AI pictures, so you can test the design on real people before anything is manufactured.

  5. Order one physical sample

$60 USD for one cap, about 7 days. It is manufactured from the design you approved, not from a similar blank, so what arrives is the thing you were looking at on screen.

  6. Approve bulk production from 50 pieces

Once the sample is right, the same file becomes a run: from 50 pieces per design and color, $10-15 USD per cap, about 14 days, 50/50 payment, produced in the USA and/or China.

Who it is for

Built for brands, not one-off merch

If you only need one cheap printed hat, CBOs is probably not the right fit. If you want to build a cap people can buy, wear and remember, start in 3D.

Design your own hat FAQ

How do I design my own hat if I have never done it before?

Start from what you already have: a logo, a rough sketch or an AI prompt. Pick the cap style closest to what you want, place the artwork on it, check the result, then order one physical sample before committing to a bulk run. No design software or tech pack is required to begin.

Can I design my own hat online with CBOs?

Yes. The whole thing runs online in your browser: choose the cap shape, place artwork, review colors and preview decoration details in 3D before sampling. There is nothing to download first.

Can I design a hat for free?

Yes. Designing the cap online is free — build the shape, drop in your artwork and review the details in the browser without paying anything. You only pay when the project becomes physical: $60 for one sample, or a bulk run from 50 pieces.

Can I start from a hat template?

Yes. You can start from a cap direction such as a snapback, 5-panel, trucker, dad hat, fitted cap or rope cap, then adjust colors, artwork, materials and decoration details in 3D.

Can I preview the hat in 3D?

Yes. The CBOs 3D Editor lets you rotate and review the cap shape, panels, front, sides, back, brim, materials and decoration direction before ordering a sample.

Can I design a hat on iPhone or iPad?

Yes. CBOs works as a browser-based custom hat design app and is also available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad users.

Can CBOs manufacture the hat after I design it?

Yes. Approved designs can move into CBOs sample review and production. Custom cap production starts from 50 pieces, depending on cap style, materials and decoration.

Is this only for logo embroidery on blank hats?

No. Most online customizers place artwork on an existing blank hat. CBOs is built for brands that want to design the cap product itself: shape, materials, decoration, trims, renders, sample and production.

What cap styles can I design?

CBOs focuses on cap styles such as snapbacks, 5-panel caps, trucker caps, dad hats, fitted caps, rope caps and performance cap directions.

What is the minimum order quantity?

CBOs custom cap production can start from 50 pieces, depending on style, materials, decoration and packaging requirements.

How much does a sample cost?

Custom cap sample development starts from $60. Final sample cost can change with complex decoration, premium materials, custom molds, metal pins or rhinestones.

Can I create product renders before production?

Yes. Approved 3D cap designs can become product renders for feedback, product pages, ads, pre-orders and launch planning before physical production starts.

Can I sell the hats I design?

Yes. CBOs is built for brand-side cap projects. Designs can move into private label sampling and bulk production so the finished caps can be sold as part of a real collection or drop.

Are the pictures real photos or AI images?

Neither. They are renders of the cap you built, with your panels, your fabric and your embroidery, lit and shot inside the Studio from the same 3D model the factory is briefed from. You get an HD photo pack of eight product views and a vertical 360 video, so a product page or a pre-order can go live before the physical sample lands.
