What Is CBOs? The 3D Cap Design App by ClothingBrandOwners

CBOs is a custom hat design app, published by a company called ClothingBrandOwners. The name is the abbreviation of Clothing Brand Owners and is written C-B-O-s. CBOs is both the app where a cap is designed in 3D — in the browser, and on iPhone and iPad — and the manufacturing workflow behind it: 2D artwork, 3D design, product rendering, sample development and bulk production from 50 pieces.

Our background combines fashion, custom hats, 3D modeling, design and code. Across more than five years of hands-on work, we kept seeing the same problem: brands had strong ideas, but weak mockups, scattered references and unclear production notes made the final sample feel different from the original concept.

The name

What CBOs means, and what it does not

CBOs is a four-letter abbreviation, and other things use it too. This section exists so that a reader, or a search engine, can tell them apart.

What CBOs is

CBOs is the custom hat design app published by ClothingBrandOwners, at clothingbrandowners.com. It runs in the browser on desktop and Android, and as an app on iPhone and iPad. Brands use it to create artwork, design a cap on a 1:1 3D model, generate photoreal renders from the real 3D model, order one physical sample, and produce from 50 pieces per design and colour. It is free to start.

What CBOs is not

Here, CBOs is not a community-based organization and not a Chief Business Officer — the two meanings the abbreviation usually carries. It is also unrelated to other software that uses the CBOS spelling, such as the CBOS KYC app by Siliconline Systems and the CBO SFA app. There is no native Android app and no Google Play listing for CBOs: on Android the studio opens in the browser, so there is no APK to look for.

Ratings of the CBOs app

These public scores belong to the CBOs app listings. They help a reader evaluate the app experience, but they are not ratings of custom-cap manufacturing orders, customer case studies or a company-wide review score. Verified 2026-09-10. What these scores cover

They rate the CBOs app. They do not rate manufacturing work and are not customer case studies. ClothingBrandOwners has no Trustpilot profile or paid review programme.

The production gap

Custom caps fail when details stay unclear

Many custom hat projects break before production starts. A flat mockup can show color and logo placement, but it often misses crown shape, panel seams, brim angle, material texture, embroidery depth, patch scale, pins, rhinestones, labels and packaging.

When those details are not visible, the factory has to interpret them. That creates avoidable revisions, slow sampling and finished caps that are close, but not exact. CBOs exists to make those production details easier to see before money goes into a physical sample.

What we built

One workflow for design, rendering and manufacturing

CBOs connects a 2D artwork editor, a 3D cap editor, product rendering and custom cap manufacturing under one name. Brand owners can create artwork, preview materials and decoration in 3D, generate launch visuals and move approved designs toward sampling and low MOQ production.

The goal is not to make another basic hat customizer. CBOs is built as a production system for real cap projects: 5-panel caps, snapbacks, truckers, dad hats, fitted caps, embroidery, patches, metallic pins, rhinestones and private label packaging.

Tool portfolio

Built from the clothing brand workflow

CBOs is part of a small portfolio of tools for clothing brand owners. M1M4.com helps brands create apparel mockups and tech pack assets, Eclomockup.com adds 3D mockups, and CBOs connects custom cap design, rendering and production.

Seeing a cap take shape in 3D before the sample exists still feels like the right missing step. It helps brand owners make decisions earlier, and it helps production teams understand what the final cap should become.

The two people building CBOs

CBOs is built by Michele and Marco, a two-person founding team with 5+ years of hands-on work in fashion, custom hats, 3D design and cap manufacturing. One side of CBOs is design and software, the other side is production and sampling — both handled by the founders directly.

How we work

The principles behind CBOs

01

Clarity before sampling

Every production detail should be easier to review before a brand pays for a physical sample.

02

Design closer to manufacturing

A custom cap design should show shape, materials, decoration, trims and placements, not only colors and a logo.

03

Built for brand owners

CBOs is made for clothing brands, streetwear founders, creators and apparel teams building real headwear products.

Work with CBOs

Build a custom cap project with the CBOs team

Bring a CBOs design, reference image, tech pack or early idea. We review the cap style, decoration, materials, MOQ and timeline, then help move the project toward sampling, product visuals or production.
