Before picking fabric and decoration, define the cap construction: panel count, crown height, brim shape, structure, eyelets and sweatband. These decisions shape how the cap looks, fits and holds decoration.
4, 5, 6 and 7-panel constructions. Panel count changes front shape, seam layout and logo placement. 5-panel and 7-panel give flat front real estate; 6-panel splits the front for curved embroidery.
High, mid and low crowns. High crown gives streetwear and fitted presence; mid is retail standard; low is dad-hat relaxed.
Flat, pre-curved, soft-curved and rope. Flat brims stay rigid with stickers retained on retail; curved brims arrive pre-shaped; rope adds a thin cord along the brim seam.
Structured front uses buckram backing to hold shape and support 3D puff. Unstructured removes backing for a softer, lived-in look typical of dad hats and 5-panels.
Sewn eyelets, metal eyelets, laser-cut holes or no eyelets, matched to panel fabric.
Standard cotton sweatband, moisture-wicking performance band or branded printed band with logo or repeating text.
CBOs produces caps in classic streetwear fabrics, retail-grade materials and performance bases. Each material changes cap weight, hand, drape and how decoration reads on the surface.

Closure changes how the cap fits, how it reads on retail and how it ages over time. CBOs supports snapback, fitted, strapback, metal buckle, flexfit, velcro and elastic configurations.
Plastic snap closure with adjustable sizing. Streetwear classic.
Fixed sizes from 6 7/8 to 7 3/4. No closure on back.
Cotton strap with tri-glide or metal slider. Relaxed retail finish.
Leather or faux-leather strap with metal clasp. Premium cap finish.
Antique brass, gunmetal or custom engraved buckle for dad hats and rope caps.
Elasticated band for pull-on fit. Available in two or three size ranges.
Hook-and-loop closure for promo, utility and performance caps.
Full elastic or partial elastic band. Used for knit caps and beanies.
Decoration is where private label caps become premium. CBOs handles 3D puff embroidery, chenille, leather and woven patches, metallic pins, rhinestones and full print methods — the details that define elevated streetwear caps.
Raised embroidery using foam behind the thread. Creates the dimensional logo effect seen on streetwear trucker and snapback caps. Needs structured front panel.
Standard stitched embroidery, dense or sketched. Works on curved, flat, structured or unstructured caps.
Fuzzy letterman-style raised letters or shapes. Retro streetwear and collegiate feel.
Pre-woven textile patch applied to the cap front or side. Tight detail reproduction.
Engraved or debossed real or faux leather patch. Western, premium and streetwear crossover.
Soft 3D rubber patch, ideal for gradients, icons and brand marks with depth.
Soft enamel or hard enamel metal pins attached to the front panel. Premium finish, typical of elevated streetwear.
Heat-set rhinestones in defined patterns, letters or logos. Club, festival and premium drops.
Direct ink print on flat panel areas. Used for graphic fronts on 5-panel caps and rope caps.
Direct-to-garment digital print for photo-detail or multi-color artwork on flat panels.
Full-color all-over print on polyester bases. Used for performance, 5-panel nylon and sport caps.
Repeat embroidery across panels. Premium finishing for capsule retail drops.
Inside the cap, linings, inside taping, woven labels and branded sweatbands turn a generic cap into a retail private label product.
Premium silk-touch lining inside crown. Standard on fitted and premium snapbacks.
Printed or woven tape covering inside crown seam. Can carry brand name or pattern.
Custom woven brand label stitched into sweatband or inside crown.
Printed satin label with care instructions, brand name or size.
Small side-panel embroidery for brand mark. Common on fitted caps.

Branded hangtag attached with string or plastic loop. Card, kraft or plastic options.
Flat-brim retail sticker with brand and size. Matte, holographic or die-cut options.

Once you know the cap style, materials, closure, decoration and finishing, CBOs turns the project into a sample and a production plan. Low MOQ from 50 pieces, sample from $120 in 15-18 days, bulk production with USA and/or China production.
See Private Label Hat ManufacturingA 5-panel cap has one flat front panel and low profile construction. A 6-panel cap splits the front with a central seam, giving it more structure and a curved front. 5-panel is typical for camper and streetwear; 6-panel is the classic baseball cap and fitted build.
3D puff embroidery is raised embroidery where foam is placed under the thread to create a dimensional logo. It needs a structured front panel with buckram backing to hold the shape and is typical of streetwear trucker and snapback caps.
Yes. CBOs adds soft-enamel or hard-enamel metal pins to the front panel of custom caps. Metallic pins are a premium decoration used on elevated streetwear caps and can be combined with embroidery or patches.
Yes. Heat-set rhinestones can be placed in defined patterns, letters or logo shapes on custom caps. Typical uses are club, festival, music merch and premium streetwear drops.
3D puff embroidery works best on structured cap styles with buckram-backed front panels, including A-frame trucker, snapback, fitted cap and 6-panel baseball cap. It is not ideal on unstructured dad hats or soft 5-panels.
CBOs produces caps in cotton twill, suede, corduroy, canvas, wool blend, mesh, nylon ripstop, performance polyester, denim, faux leather, cotton poplin and recycled polyester, depending on the cap style and project.
Snapback, fitted sizing, cotton strapback, leather strapback, metal buckle, flexfit elastic, velcro and elastic fit are available. The right closure depends on the cap style, target audience and retail positioning.
